My name is Rachel Boekel and I’m a modern lifestyle and wedding photographer based in Brooks, Alberta. I say “modern” because I won’t photograph you in a studio or cookie cutter posed. I am candid, off the hip and well… modern. I chase sunlight and manipulate its rays to create unique and functional art of you for you. My sessions are either done in your home or at an outdoor location in your area.
I grew up in Canmore, Alberta but moved to Brooks when my boyfriend (now husband) lured me out with my love goggles on. I haven’t looked back and am fascinated with the people, customs and new experiences that prairies have offered me.
I love to love people. I also love chocolate sprinkles on fresh white bread (it’s a Dutch thing) and riding my mountain bike (in the mountains).
I’m a mountain girl with a prairie heart and a love for diversity and photographing happy people.
