I’ve been up to my eyeballs in editing and have also been doing a lot of photography and trying to get as much done as possible before New York.
While I was editing I suddenly found myself be-bopping to a re-mixed and re-imagined Nina Simone song. It has beats and grooves and then all of a
sudden I was having a serious dance party in my office chair. Limbs were in the air!  ”Funkier than a Mosquitos Tweeter” was the song.
Nina is by far, hands down, 100%  my most favorite singer on the planet. Probably because she was my aunts favorite and I’m inheriting it from her.
I absorbed her appreciation into my own. I am grateful for this. You gotta download this tune and do the chair dance with me people, it feels soooo good.

Today I received a nice email from a blog reader about the Bold Beautiful Biathlon Calendar that Adrian Marcoux and I did
for the National Biathlon Team last year. He pointed me to a recent article written about the girls. I’m proud of what they do
and so glad that they are still getting so much support.

In my randomness today I want to talk about this book I am reading and break frequently from to
pass on information I have just read to Geordie.  It goes something like this; “Geordie, do you know how much corn we consume”?
Geordie raises his eyebrows “?”
Seriously, I’m stunned. Corn.  The Omnivores Dilemma, by Michael Polan.
My good friend Connie who runs with me most days is probably so so so tiered of me saying “seriously though… corn… who knew!”
She still shows up. That’s a good friend! I’m grateful for that.

A mixed bag of nuts today. Just thought I’d share.
