D & J Hitched :: Rainer, Alberta Wedding Photographer ::

I had been looking forward to this wedding since D began giving me details about their day.
“We’re going to get married in a corn field”, D said when we first met. In my head I was in heaven. I tried to act cool and collected.
I love it when the people I get to work with have unique ideas and ideas that are truly a reflection of who they are as people.

The corn field was J’s families corn field. They planted the corn, pulled the corn, laid the hay, brought in the bails. Talk about work. Talk about commitment.
I had photographed D & J’s engagement session and knew the area the wedding would be in.
It’s such a sweet little part of southern Alberta; ¬†ripe with great people, strong ties and beautiful vistas.

As a large and lumbering pregnant person I had the luck of having Shannon Yau come out and help me capture the wedding.
We had so many places to go; corn field, sunflower field, grain yard…
The big surprise was when J surprised D with a helicopter ride right after the ceremony.
Lucky Shannon got to go along for the ride too and capture some love up above.

Thank you D & J  РI had been looking forward to your day all summer!
